Serving Richland & Lexington Counties
Collection and delivery are included from Cayce and Lexington, across the river through Shandon and Forest Acres, north to Blythewood and Lake Carolina, and west along the water to Chapin. Not seeing your street? Say so anyway — the van is usually a few minutes from it.
Collection routes
Columbia sits at the fall line, where the Piedmont runs out into the Coastal Plain, and that boundary shows up underfoot: sandy Sandhills ground on one side of town, heavy red clay on the other, and a summer that holds a high dew point for months at a stretch. A 1920s bungalow on brick piers in Shandon, a new house on a slab out at Lake Carolina and a weekend place on the Chapin shoreline are all working against that in different ways. These are the areas we collect from most, and what tends to be waiting when we get there.
Shandon
The crawlspace is the reason Shandon rugs fail, and almost nobody looks in it.
Rug cleaning in ShandonHeathwood
The damage here comes from how the house is cooled rather than from anything anyone spills.

Water is the local memory, and it is fresh water rather than anything coastal.
Rug cleaning in Forest AcresRosewood
Rosewood is low, flat and drained by a system built for a smaller city, which is why water gets into these houses when a summer storm parks overhead and why the October 2015 rainfall reached floors that had never seen it.

The canopy that makes these streets worth living on is also what keeps them damp.

Olympia runs on the academic calendar, and that is what wrecks rugs here.

This is Sandhills ground, and the sand is the whole problem.
Rug cleaning in Lake CarolinaBlythewood
Rural living puts things in a rug that town living does not.
Rug cleaning in BlythewoodIrmo
Two things arrive on the floor here that are specific to this side of town.
Rug cleaning in IrmoLexington
Lexington sits on the clay side of the fall line, and clay does two things to a rug.
Rug cleaning in LexingtonChapin
Lake Murray is roughly fifty thousand acres with something like six hundred and fifty miles of shoreline, impounded behind the Saluda Dam since 1930, and a house on that shoreline sits in air that stays close to saturation on a summer night.

Everything about Cayce comes back to the river.
